ALC Goals and Objectives

Associated Logging Contractors, Inc. has proudly served Idaho Loggers since 1966. Working with our affiliate company Associated Loggers Exchange and our subsidiary company Safety Engineering, Inc., we provide a variety of services designed to keep loggers in business in today’s world:

HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE ISSUES THAT THE ALC IS WORKING ON FOR IDAHO’S LOGGERS:

  • Support President Bush’s Healthy Forest Initiative

Plus:

  • Oppose Efforts to open highways to increased Truck Weights of 129,000 pounds
  • Reverse the Trend of Rising Fuel Prices
  • Overturning President Clinton’s Roadless Rule
  • Reversal of Listings under the Endangered Species Act
  • Re-Build Rural Natural Resource Economics
  • Fix the negative impacts of Canadian Lumber Imports
  • Minimize negative Federal Forest Policy Impacts
  • Lower Double Digit Unemployment in our Timber Counties by helping loggers go to work
  • Stop Mill Closures
  • Address Fire Impacts
    • Forest Health
    • Danger to People and Communities
  • Closure of the Woods
  • Idaho’s Truck Registration System: Is Unfair to Certain Log and Chip Haulers
  • Personal Property Tax Relief - Make Equal to Agricultural Exemption
  • Address Lower Logging Rates from Mills– Rates need to go up to meet the realities of today
  • Work to Lower the Higher Operational Costs of today
  • And more!
